In the weekend of 9 to 10 September a large group of 36 youth players  competed for the top spots in the 2017 Youth Championship organized by the national chess federation FEDAKO. The youngsters competed in a 5 round match tournament where 2 rounds were played on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. On Sunday around 4:00 PM after the final match between top female players Ailen Mena and Mariana Sanchez the final results were made known. Below an overview of the various prize winners in their respective groups.
