Local player and former Chess Club Janwe member Valentino Martis in his effort to contribute to the local chess sport has launched "Rising Stars Chess Academy". RSCA's first event is the "Rising Chess Stars Classic Edition" which will be held in the weekends March 31 - April 1 and April 8 - 9 at Frater Aurelio SBO in Punda. A total of 10 players will be challenging one another in a 9 round round robin. At the end of the open tournament there will be a blitz tournament.
